Animal Lovers in Austin, Rejoice!

Although compassion for all living creatures was one of my many reasons for becoming a vegan, I don't currently have any pets, but I do know that they can provide comfort, therapy and companionship, so I thought it was pretty neat to hear about this. Families who have been devasted by fire now have one less thing to worry about.

Hi, Christina. I was wondering if there were any Austin vegans in bloggerland. I didn't know about the Natural Epicurean potlucks. Do you advertise them in any way? I would love to attend, even though my food couldn't come close to being as good as the students dishes!

Yay... we can get people to donate tons of money so that the newly homeless family's pet can become one more feral stray cat killing rare birds, but we don't have enough to help all those homeless families get off the streets...
Don;t get me wrong I ain't hating on the animals (well, except the cats, I'm gonna hate on some cats), I'm just hating on people's messed up priorities. Crazy how folks will drive right past the homeless man or woman flying their sign on their way to volunteer at the animal shelter.

Oh...and you do TOO have a pet. We have The Donald (and you got me... I'm probably harder to clean up after than any dog)

I always think of The Donald as your pet.

You're a hater, Hater. That just what you do.
